Representative Matters
October 2024, Davidson County General Sessions Court (Tennessee): Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance Co. a/s/o Daugherty v. Smith. Lesa Daugherty and Renee Smith were involved in a motor vehicle accident in Nashville, Tennessee. Tennessee Farmers, Ms. Daugherty’s insurer, paid Ms. Daugherty for her property damage and filed suit against Ms. Smith to recover the loss of Ms. Daugherty's vehicle, which was declared a total loss as a result of the accident. During the bench trial, Madison argued that Ms. Smith properly established her position as she was making a right turn into a shopping plaza. Ultimately, the Court dismissed the Plaintiff’s claims.
