Richardson Law Group provides legal services to organizations or individuals who are facing allegations such as misrepresentation of agricultural products because of genetically modified foods, cruel conditions for animals on farms, and environmentally damaging practices. Our attorneys are trained to deconstruct the components of a situation afflicting the agricultural organization or individual to determine where the fault lies in order to provide the best protection possible to those facing allegations of violations of agriculture law in the state of Kentucky.
From oil and gas distributors in Eastern Kentucky, to grain and feed mills in central Kentucky, to large-scale farming operations in western Kentucky, Richardson Law Group has taken its attention to detail in the courtroom and applied it to the defense of our agricultural clients. Whether before the Kentucky Agriculture Commission or the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, Richardson Law Group will defend the interests of our clients. Through our experiences, we have developed the skills and relationships necessary to successfully address the needs of our agricultural clients.
Representative matters
Since 2009, Richardson Law Group has represented one of the largest pork producers in the nation in a class action lawsuit. To date, Richardson Law Group has played a key role in dismissing the majority of plaintiffs' complaints and, in turn, decertifying the class, thereby significantly limiting its clients' possible exposure. Powell v. Tosh, 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 32229 (W.D. Ky. Mar. 8, 2013)
Richardson Law Group also represents one of the nation's largest farmer cooperatives in both civil and regulatory matters involving livestock, grain, feed and seed disputes.
Outside of farming and livestock, Richardson Law Group has been successful in the litigation of oil and gas matters, particularly in relation to explosion and environmental contamination claims.
